DJ SCHOOL

This eight-week course meets once a week, and teaches you the DJ Business from getting started as a part-timer to creating your own destiny as a full-time DJ.  Perfect for large DJ companies looking to train new employees before sending them out on their own, or for individuals looking to enter this fast paced financially rewarding career.

In this course, you will learn:

• Technical Details - From system design and setup to trouble shooting your equipment

• Business Aspect - From advertising that works to bookkeeping and financial planning

• Sound Reinforcement - Proper techniques for tuning your equipment properly

• Lighting - Appropriate application of lighting for various jobs types

• Hot Mixing / Scratch Mixing - Techniques taught by local professionals

• Internships - The course ends with an internship with a top local DJ company

Sound Reinforcement Classes

This basic four-week course is for people interested in learning how to properly operate their Pro Audio equipment to meet your needs.  This course meets once a week for two hours, and is taught by Bob Wiggins (formally of Roselle Music) who has been in the Pro Audio industry since the early 70's, and is certified by Peavey and other manufacturers as a technical expert.  Bob has taught Sound Reinforcement to many of the professionals who are in the industry today.  His unsurpassed knowledge of what is needed to provide sound for both on stage and main PA systems will provide you with all the tools necessary to create professional high-quality sound for your clients.

In this course, you will learn:

• The chain of audio components - how it works from microphones to speakers.

• Feedback and distortion elimination - practical techniques and equipment operation
